Two long-time Cavendish veterans retire

New Annan, P.E.I. – March 15, 2021 – We are pleased to announce that while they’ll be sorely missed, two long-time Cavendish veterans – Myron Larkin and Leo Chaisson – have retired.

Myron LarkinMyron Larkin, better known as Bim to friends, worked at Cavendish Farms for 43 years. Over the decades he’d been a Steward, a member of the in-plant lant executive (most recently as Unit Chair), a member of the 864 Executive, the Eastern Provinces Council Board (recently as Secretary Treasurer, and on numerous negotiating committees. He has a wealth of experience and knowledge that he is taking into his well-deserved retirement. He was respected by everyone at the workplace, Management and Union alike. He plans to spend his time enjoying time with his family and friends doing all the activities that keep him young. We wish Bim all the best in the future and will miss his smiling face and ready laugh at Union events and roaming the halls at Cavendish Farms.

Leo ChaissonLeo Chaisson also recently retired from Cavendish Farms after a 36-year career – the last 25 as a Processing Operator. Leo, a lifelong Maple Leafs fan, is looking forward to relaxing, watching hockey and spending time with family and friends. He can't wait for summer to arrive and looks forward to getting back to watching live hockey when it returns as well. Leo follows the Charlottetown Islanders and Summerside Capitals.

We wish Leo and Myron all the best on their well deserved retirement.
