UFCW Eastern Provinces Council Local 864 members working at Clarence Farms in Truro, N.S. have ratified a new three-year contract bringing in several monetary gains.
Workers will see a wage increase of $2.20 over the course of the contract and receive a $1,000 signing bonus at the start of the agreement.
Additional gains include a bump to both the meal and clothing allowance, and an increase in shift premiums.
The contract was ratified on April 12 after 14 yes votes and 5 no votes after heading to federal conciliation on April 8.
